Eric Megens, wins the Best Speaker Award at QA&TEST
Thursday, November 6th, 2008The Best Speaker Award of QA&TEST 2008 has won by Eric Megens, for his presentation Lessons learned in testing and configuration management. Eric Megens is a Consultant at ITC Hight Tech Solutions, a Dutch company located in Apeldoorn.

In his presentation Lessons learned in testing and configuration management, Mr. Megens explained that during the start of projects, a lot of attention is paid to requirements and architecture. However less attention is paid to configuration management, since it is considered as a supporting process. His experiences and conclusions related to the configuration management make Eric Megens a fair winner of the Best Speaker Award of QA&TEST.


Jussi Mäkinen will give the 31 October keynote at QA&TEST. Mr. Mäkinen has started his studies for Doctor’s degree at the University of Oulu, Department of Information Processing Science in 2008. His main interest area is the effects of globalization process for the Finnish wireless industry. Also converging wireless technologies in the Future Internet context will be under his careful examination on top of his present position as a CTO of Octopus Network.

QA&TEST is proud to present a new speaker: Bertrand Meyer, who will give one of the three keynotes of the Conference. Mr. Meyer is an academic, author, and consultant in the field of computer languages. He created the Eiffel programming language.

QA&TEST is proud to present a new speaker: Roger Derksen. Roger Derksen will give one of the three keynotes of the Conferences, in which he will explain his experience as responsible of testing of the Heathrow Terminal 5 Baggage Handling System. Derksen is a senior consultant with Transfer Solutions, an IT consulting firm based in the Netherlands. He has been working with Vanderlande Industries as a test manager for several years. Roger is an ISEB certified test practitioner. Currently he is working as a test and integration manager for a project of the 70MB programme of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
